I’m starting with this picture because I love it. Three siblings (I’m the one in the middle) looking out from an ancient French castle, seeing the world through toddler and Kindergarten eyes. What did we see? What were we thinking? And how much has our world changed since that day?

I love kids. My absolute favorite thing about children is the way they see the world. Most of what I know to be true about justice, love, heaven, forgiveness, and peace, I've learned from a child. And I thought it was about time I passed those lessons on.

I love this picture! The world haddchanged a whole lot in technology, but little eyes and minds are still captured by the littlest things…a butterfly floating in the wind, the worms emerging from the ground after a rain, how a windchime works. And if we allow ourselves, we can notice those things–and enjoy them–too.
I was impressed by the response of our son’s baseball coach(our son was 8 years old) when the entire practice came to a hult so that all the boys could look at the ants that covered home plate. As adullts we must make time for these discoveries in the little ones’ lives. Just a reminder to us big ones.
